It is widely recognized that warmer temperatures over time are changing weather patterns, disrupting the balance of nature and causing risks to humans and many other forms of life on the planet. The health implications of climate change are broad-ranging, and 2023 was the hottest year on record.
Dr. Lee Hall is Chief of the Parasitology and International Programs Branch at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the US National Institutes of Health, and serves on the Steering Committee for the NIH Climate Change and Health Initiative. He will discuss how climate change is affecting human health, what NIH research is doing to address these effects, and how we all as individuals can have a positive impact.
