This year, we will celebrate Women's Day in style with an evening at the opera!

Accompany Benedetta Orsi , an Italian mezzo-soprano now established in the States, as she tells us about her personal journey with DIVE in Opera.

Come behind the scenes to discover the creation of a show and a character (including make-up !!!), asking Benedetta how personal was her experience with the DIVEs at work. Find out how this wonderful life experience culminated in the making of his latest album, recorded in Italy before the pandemic.

The Italian mezzo-soprano Benedetta Orsi has been defined by Teresa Berganza as “the perfect voice of bel canto ”. Nominated in 2018 for Outstanding Achievement in Opera by the St. Louis Theater Club, the renowned Broadway Opera World magazine defines her voice in the performance Carmen “… breathtakingly beautiful, full and rich, with easily accessible power resources. It gives us a simply perfect "Habanera". "

Mrs. Orsi is one of the few international mezzo-soprano to have performed in all three of Donizetti's Tudor operas: Jane Seymour in Anna Bolena, Elisabetta in Maria Stuarda and Sara in Roberto Devereux with the Royal Opera Theater in Manchester, UK. Recent performances also include Adalgisa in Norma with Winter Opera St. Louis, the lead role of Carmen with Winter Opera St. Louis and Boulder Symphony Orchestra in Colorado, Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana with New Jersey Festival Orchestra, Ulrica in A Masked Ball with Miami Lyric Opera and Maddalena in Rigoletto with Amore Opera.

Her first album, " Christmas Around the World" won the double Silver Medal at the Global Music Awards in Los Angeles for Best Album and Best Female Vocalist. His latest, “La Voix de l'Amour” , was awarded the Gold Medal for Best Album.

In addition to her concerts at Carnegie Hall in NYC and in Italy, England, the United States and Spain, Benedetta 's performances include roles in Rigoletto and Trovatore (Verdi), Norma and La Sonnambula (Bellini), L'Italiana in Algeri and Il Turco in Italy (Rossini) and Werther 's Massenet.

Benedetta is the winner of several awards including first prize Barry Alexander International Voice Competition (IVC), first prize and Star Performance Award in the American Protégé IVC, third prize in Roschel IVC and Audience & Orchestra Award at Boulder Music Institute IVC.

In his homeland, he received the Audience Award and Special Award of the Federation of Italian Music during the XXVIII International Piero Boni Singing Competition.

Mrs. Orsi graduated in Music and Voice at the Conservatorio di Musica Vecchi in Modena, combining her studies with numerous specialization courses taught by opera luminaries such as Marylin Horne, Luciana Serra, Teresa Berganza and theater recorder Chuck Hudson. Later, he received his Master in Voice at the Regia Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna.
