Amelia offers us a local walk in Rock Creek Park. From Lake Needwood we walk to Lake Bernard Frank (about 2.5 miles) and then we go back.
If the weather is nice there is a beautiful lawn where we can sit and rest.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take I-270 to Exit 8 for Shady Grove Road. Take the exit for Redland Boulevard. Continue on Redland Blvd to Needwood Road. Turn Right. Follow the road to the park entrance. Turn left into the park. There are several parking lots within the park.
